 | "You don't get to choose how you're going to die. Or when. You can only decide how you're going to live. Now."
- Joan Baez | | New! We now have Instant E-mail (tip of the cap to GLAAD for the idea!) If you see the word E-MAIL, that means this issue has an instant e-mail where the busy activist, with just a few mouse clicks, can make their voice heard with pre-written e-mails! The word PRINT means we have pre-written letters you can print out and mail! We can't make it any easier than that; the rest is up to you.

On these pages we are collecting many possible ways that YOU can do your part to increase Bisexual visibility, challenge false media statements about Bisexuals, fight laws aimed to restrict the rights of Bisexuals, and more! The Radical Right has a lot of money and support on their side; as a friend once said, "the clock is ticking and the Right Wing ain't waiting." (Don't believe us? Check out www.thundernet.org for one example.) Your efforts, no matter how large or small, will make a huge difference in this struggle. - The media continues to fuel misperceptions about Bisexuals, from sexual ethics to AIDS. Movies and television portray Bisexuals negatively. Gay and Lesbian organizations and newspapers sometimes treat Bisexuals as second-class in the movement for sexual freedom. Let the media know you're angry! And if you see a media statement that you want to publicize and challenge, email it to the Webmaster and we'll post it!
- Politicians continue to whittle away at the rights of Bisexuals, through unjust laws and with the backing of Fundamentalist groups. Conferences and rallies are held virtually unopposed by our community. Don't let the politicians think that they can get away with it! And if you hear about a bill or a law that must be supported or defeated, email the Webmaster and we'll post it!
- Read the reports of people who are involved in activism and want to let you know how things are progressing! If you have a report to submit, email it to the Webmaster! (Text is fine, HTML preferred.)
- BiNet USA has plenty of opportunities for you to make a difference. First of all, please join our organization, where your membership and your tax-deductible contributions will be put to use fighting these many battles. Check out our many initiatives if there is a specific program that you want to get involved in. If you want to volunteer in your own home area, see our regional pages for contact information. And, of course, you can always email the Webmaster, who will make sure someone contacts you very soon.
