Response to Walter Scott's Parade column (posted March 4, 1998)   Walter Scott recently addressed bisexuality. His comments about Ani Difranco's sexuality and fan base insulted much of the queer community. Here's GLAAD's call to action, complete with Parade's address.

Da Site / Bisexuality (posted March 4, 1998)  Bisexual black men, please take note! There is a great deal of Bi-phobia being spread on this site, as the moderator and the letter writers express blatant misperceptions about Bisexuality among black men. If you're a black Bisexual men, we urge you to visit this site and fight the lies!

MSNBC: Sex on the Weekend column, January 29, 1998 (posted February 25, 1998)  "So, your friend has recently come out as a proud bisexual, but now he's convinced that you're bi, too. How do you prove that you're not?" This advice column by Jennifer Kornreich does some things very well, such as impressing upon the writer of the original letter that his friend's sexuality is legitimate and real. But she goes overboard with the insults: "Before, only half the population had to fear crossing romantic paths with this jerk. Now he's going to inflict himself on both women and men. Great." Send an email to sex@msnbc.com and let Jennifer know what you liked and disliked about her column!

Letter to NGLJA (posted February 20, 1998)  Stephanie Berger of BiNet USA and Riki Anne Wilchins of GenderPAC wrote an open letter to Ms. Karen-Louise Boothe of the National Gay & Lesbian Journalism Association, addressing concerns about a perceived lack of openness towards Bisexual and Transgendered people. Please read this wonderful letter as a good example of polite but firm writing.
