BiNet USA is working to collect stories from people who believe in the values of freedom and opportunity — and agree it’s time to end discrimination against lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBT) people nationwide. The stories will be collected as part of a program aimed at raising awareness of the discrimination bi+ people face, as well as the journeys of those who love and support them. You can read published stories at Freedom For All Americans: #BiStories Project
Why share your #bistories?
Yet, even though bisexual people make up more than one-half of the lesbian, gay and bisexual population, our stories of discrimination rarely appear in the media or in testimony before legislative committees. We need to educate the general public, policymakers and mobilize the bi community and our allies to demand change. This project is designed to start fixing this shameful reality by putting a spotlight on the real stories of discrimination bi people face every day. We need your help to do this!
If you are bi, and you have experienced discrimination because of your sexual orientation, your voice matters and we want to hear from you!
If you are a parent, sibling, aunt/uncle or grandparent of a bi person who has been on a journey to accept your bi family member, your story matters and we want to hear from you!
Use the form below to share your story. Sharing your story will help make the case that Americans of all walks of life should believe in protecting their bi neighbors from discrimination.
If you have submitted the form and the screen now looks blank, scroll up to see the message confirming your submission. Thanks. (To share this page with friends, send them to bit.ly/29pb4Wg)
